When dry food is used the powder has a tendency to fall to the bottom of the bowl and the dog may not receive the full amount, therefore dry food by itself is not recommended. Dry food should be moistened allowing the water to absorb into the food before feeding. Yogurt or other moist foods can be added for palatability.
